Preserve Vendelplein and its playground!

The playground on Vendelplein is in danger of disappearing. The UvA has plans to carry out several construction works in the area, which will include the installation of a large crane on Vendelplein. The closure of the square and the playground are necessary in the eyes of the UvA to establish their goal.

Vendelplein is an indispensable link for children of the neighbourhood and the city centre. The UvA’s plans threaten to destroy a precious social zone where children can play safely, and which promotes social cohesion across the neighbourhood.
