A late Wednesday afternoon conversation with Nanne Timmer about her poetry collection Doble Papagayo, Latin American poetry, in-between zones, poetic infections, cacophonous words and split women who insist on staying afloat.

Jimena Casas, event host, about the poetics of Nanne Timmer:

She’s an island, a birdman orbits her womb. Broken tongues inscribe porous, parasite words. Her voice sprouts inside continental margins. A mouth that pronounces pointed and provocative words dissolved in thick saliva / La boca que deletrea palabras puntiagudas y provocadoras disueltas en una saliva espesa.

This is a free event at Bookstore Perdu. You can join the event by emailing host Jimena Casas at jimena@perdu.nl. Please note that our bookshop has limited capacity: please let us know in advance if you cannot attend the event so that we can offer your spot to another guest.
